Yes. However, cancelations cannot currently be made via the participant portal. Please contact GeoLogica if you need to cancel, transfer or make a substitution on any course booking.

As long as you inform GeoLogica, in writing, of your wish to cancel (outside of the chargeable periods – see below) you will be entitled to a full refund, minus the 5% non-refundable registration fee. Alternatively, a voucher for the full amount paid, valid for 12 months from date of issue, can be provided for use on any future GeoLogica course.

You can cancel your place on a classroom course up to 30 days prior to the commencement date; for field classes, you must inform GeoLogica no later than 45 days before the field class commencement date. Cancelations made within these time periods will be non-refundable.

We DO NOT cover the travel costs to and from our classroom or field courses. However, all travel and subsistence during our field courses (for example, in-field transportation and hotel accommodation) is included. Lunch and refreshments are included during our classroom courses.

GeoLogica can provide a visa letter of support, as long as the booking is confirmed and payment for the course has been made in full. Please contact GeoLogica if you require a letter; you will be asked to provide passport details and contact information in order for us to process any paperwork.

GeoLogica will endeavour to run all scheduled courses as published on our website. However, we reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule if we are required to do so. In such cases, all confirmed attendees will be contacted and offered the option to re-schedule or request a full refund.

All GeoLogica field courses will have a field safety officer present whose role is to ensure the safe management of the course. Please visit our Field HSE page for more details on our field safety policy.

All participants must understand that while a high level of fitness is not required, a measure of physical activity is involved in all GeoLogica field courses. Please visit our Field HSE page for an explanation of the exertion levels we have used to rate our courses.

Participants are encouraged to take responsibility for assessing their suitability for a course and can contact the GeoLogica office before the course begins if they have any questions about physical requirements. Our team will be happy to advise on any medical or additional support, if needed. Please note: where the situational conditions change, field safety officers will be on hand to communicate with the group and provide assistance if required.

It is the responsibility of attendees to advise us prior to the class start of any specific medical conditions.

Yes! As long as you arrive at the course or field location at the designated start time – as detailed in the Course Joining Instructions – and do not depart before the designated end time, you are free to amend your travel plans to accommodate personal travel.

You will receive your Course Joining Instructions approximately 4 weeks before the course start date. If you have any specific questions about the class, please contact GeoLogica who will be happy to help.

Certificates are issued on completion of the course. In order to receive a certificate, you will need to have attended every day of the course; this will be verified by the Tutor or Moderator for online courses.

You will need to organise your own travel to and from our field courses. However, GeoLogica will be responsible for all transportation during the field course itself. There will be outcrop visits and opportunities to spend as much time as possible enjoying the fantastic scenery and these travel arrangements will be made by GeoLogica.

You do not have to arrange your own accommodation for the duration of the field course.

Yes please! Participants are required to organise their own travel to and from the classroom location each day. If you do not live close enough to the course venue to commute there daily, you will need to arrange your own accommodation.

We do not recommend hotels. However, a list of hotels near to the venue is attached to the Course Joining Instructions. These will be issued approximately one month before the course start date.

Classes charged in different currencies cannot be processed on the same order. We would ask that you book and pay for the classes individually.
