Bob Harrison

Bob Harrison is a petroleum engineer, who has worked in the oil & gas industry since 1979, gaining broad technical and commercial experience worldwide.

After spells running wireline logs in Brunei and shooting seismic in the Libyan Sahara, Bob worked for over 20 years with independents British Gas and Enterprise Oil, after which he has counselled many large and small oil & gas companies, both as freelance advisor and as project director and subsurface technical authority with a global energy consultancy.

He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute, has served on the SPE Oil & Gas Reserves Committee which maintains the PRMS, and was Chair of the European Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. With the ongoing energy transition, Bob is applying his skill set to the complimentary sectors of geothermal energy development, subsurface carbon storage, and infrastructure re-use, performing studies for the UK Regulator, supervising university student research, and presenting on CCUS issues for technical societies.
