World-class training for the modern energy industry

Holly Elliott

Minerals Geoscientist at the British Geological Survey

Holly’s research primarily focuses on ore deposits associated with magmatic, volcanic and hydrothermal processes. Most recently, she has been undertaking research into novel rare earth element exploration methods. Prior to her current lecturing role, Holly was a Research Fellow at the Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter, as a part of the EU-funded Horizon 2020 HiTech AlkCarb project. During this project, she investigated the feasibility of using alteration (fenitisation) as an exploration indicator for rare earth element deposits. She continues within the Camborne School of Mines as an Honorary Research Fellow.

Holly also volunteers as part of the Women in Mining (UK) Membership and Education Committee, organising events and initiatives to encourage females into the mining industry.
